Relinking
Relinking a student is connecting the student back to eScholar. This means that eSER will only reflect the data shown in eScholar.
Relinking to eScholar can update:
- a student's name
- a student's DOB
- make a student active
Relinking to eScholar cannot update:
- a student's LASID
- the grade level
- gender/ethnicity
Steps to Relink
Note: Students will not relink if the grade doesn’t align with eSER. If the eScholar record shows prek 3 or prek 4, change to code 20 for SPED 3-5 or code 15 for infant 0-2 in eScholar and then relink.
Updating LASIDs
Users cannot update a LASID in eSER through relinking.
Contact both eScholar and eSER in separate tickets though LDOE Data System Support.
The eScholar ticket will assist on steps to retire the LASID.
The eSER ticket needs the following completed:
- add the new LASID to eSER
- confirm that all records are moving from the prior LASID to the new LASID
Missing/Adding Students
Missing students may be inactive or need to be added. To see if a student is inactive, engage the “show inactive” button. To make the student active, relink the student.
